A slightly weighted and larger parchment envelope tucked snugly in one of the belts of his armor for safekeeping, to be found during his next early morning in the training arena. It bore no address on the outside, merely the mercenary's name carefully scrawled in neat letter. A golden scale in the wax seal was the only clue of its origin.

At the bottom of the envelope, the source of its slight weight was revealed: a ring, sized appropriately to his fighting hands- a mixture of sterling silver, gold, black steel, and titanium. Carefully sculpted, it held a minimalist design that suited the warrior- hellenistic gold symbols the only flourish to the piece.
